The experience made me feel uncomfortable.  I have been part of classrooms like this, observed classrooms like this, and unfortunately (I hope not much) have probably had students that looked like this.  The teacher just kept moving, following the lesson plan to just get through the material.

]]> 2020-05-19 14:55:38 UTC https://padlet.com/Sarah4Tech/Region8/wish/582691479 Build on strengths https://padlet.com/Sarah4Tech/Region8/wish/582711871 Mr. Jensen taught on a strengths based model...he was solutions minded.  Who wouldn't want Mr. Jensen in your child or any child's life.  Again, I made personal connection with the video.  I can think of one specific person that recognized a strength in one of our kids that was not seen by the teacher - it was considered a behavior.  When Mr. Jensen made that decision, it was life changing was many people, but most importantly it validated the value in the student.

The students were bored, tired/sleeping, and unable to follow the instruction. There was little to no learning going on in the classroom, no critical thinking, no problem solving.
