Date: 20/02/2017

From this movie, I learned how certain words are sounds in Deutsch and feel more confident to pronounce them. And also surprise that to speak in Deutsch doesn't require fancy sentence like English speaker does. And I surprise to know actually I knew quite many words already, just need to learn more to combine them together. I will definitely watch again, not a excellent film but is a good film for me to learn listening skill.

The exercises made me remember and understand when and how to use the ending, especially in after recognising accusative and dative verbs.

However, it gives me an idea how a native speaker speak (the rates and the pronunciation). This movie definitely helped me someway in speaking and listening skills.

Date: 27-03-2017

Ich habe einer Freund Email geschrieben. I tried to use the grammar that I learned so far and found very difficult to structure what I want to say and have what I already know. Just a short E-mail but have took me nearly 45 mins to construct. I learn a few new words, for eg: das Badmintonturnier, sich verehelichen. I also used some perfect tense sentences, however, I do not if I have used the vocabulary and the perfect tense in the right way. Maybe my friend will tell me, will see.

Date: 09/05/2017

The first page of the book is easy to understand, however, when the story develop, I need to check 50% of the words from dictionary. It took me 30 minutes: to read out loud 4 pages of the story, find the meaning of the unfamiliar vocabulary and retell the story in English to my partner. I learned past tense structure and description techniques, such as "großer und kräftiger als alles anderen". It is a very good fun, and wonder how basic my german language ability is... :(

Date: 27/03/2017

This return email is full of past tense and perfect tense, and I started to realise some patterns, such as hatten... sehen, being used to address past tense, instead of just habe... gesehen. Although there are around 10-15 words I need to check with dictionary, but most of the sentences I can understand without the need of looking up for the words. I think this email give me much more inspiration how I am going to reply this email better than the one before. My friend actually corrected my previous email, so I know what is my problem and can improve from that.
