Both the Muslims and the Christians witnessed a disturbing and fierce battle during the first crusade for Jerusalem. Both sides also recount the last ditch effort that the Muslims attempted while trying to seek refuge in the Tower of David. Even then, the Muslims experienced bloodshed and death, losing over 70,000 Muslim soldiers while trying to hold down the Al-Aqsa Mosque. The first crusade was a gory and tough battle for the Muslims. Meanwhile, the Christians pillaged the Temple of Solomon with glee and ease, and not even boarding up in the Tower of David could stop the Christians from slaughtering the Muslims. The Christians were ultimately the victor in this crusade and it is clearly displayed in both perspectives

The Muslims were the primary target for the Christians. The Crusaders (Christians), enjoyed ending the lives of those who were Muslim during the first Crusade, they were the dominant role during this era. They were motivated by Christianity. While the Christians were the ones in control, the Muslims were scared for their life and were eventually killed. Overall, this was a bad time period for the Muslims, this is the main idea throughout all 3 documents.

The cristrians and muslums both lived their crusade times pretty similarly. The Christians violently killed the muslims when they rampaged their city, much like what Raymond d'Aguilers stated in document A. The muslims were also rather violent like in the documents from the other papers where they cut off their arms and left their enemies to bleed to death from such terrible wounds. Sometimes when the muslims surrendered the Christians, or franks as said in document B, let them go. This is similar to the muslims who made treaties with their enemies as long as they remained calm and loyal. But aside from the “kind” acts of the merciless christians, they were mostly brutal and killed with no remorse. Like they informed us in document C they killed woman and children with no hesitation. The muslims ,on the other hand, were a bit less cruel and had other methods like payment and treaties allowing some with freedom of religion.

Even though the christian crusaders were successful in the first battle and killed many muslims and after the first crusade they had a celebration happy that no one was spared. The muslims experienced loss of their people and the loss of their home. The muslims had two choices, surrender or die. They watched as the holy land was stripped of gold and took the woman and children as prisoners. Thogh later on the muslums banded together and formed their own version of the crusaders and tok victory of over the christian crusaders.

While the Muslims experienced the first crusade on July 15 , 1099 , they felt the need to barricade themselves into the Tower of David and still fought the Christians for several days and for that , many people died and didn't want to surrender . The Christians felt hatred over the Muslims , that they joyfully rushed into the city to kill the enemy which were the Muslims. The Christians killed more than 10,000 Muslims to the point where no women or kids were left alive .

While Muslims experienced the first crusade, their primary focus was to conquer, where as to the Christians, which desired and put more concentration into reclaiming the land they believed was theirs. The Muslims paid their warriors and bribed nobles in order to conquer. A piece of text from Document B: Treaty of Tudmir, makes it apparent that the Muslims where conquering. The Christians reclaimed “their” land because it was believed that their prophet was crucified in Jerusalem “The Holy Land”.

The christians were more violent than the muslims and the christians had different and painful ways of killing people. The christians would cut muslim heads and shot muslims with arrows. The muslims were defending against the christians and trying to fight back. The christians did it for a purpose for all the sins they did. They fought for several days and the franks slaughtered more than 70,000 people and many have left their homelands.
