         <title>EXTENSIVE READING IMPORTANCE</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Extensive reading in the second language classroom is a useful educational approach that involves students in reading and helps to increase the vocabulary in a natural way.<br><br></div><div>It is possible to enrich this approach through webtools for reading, writing and vocabulary.<br><br></div><div>If we let the students free to choose what to read we increase the motivation and attitude in reading!<br><br></div><div>For ER in my classroom I choose a graded readers for A1/A2 Level: the Story of Peter Pan by ELI Publishing.<br><br></div><div>I teach in a Primary School in Molfetta, Italy and my students age is 8 - 10. <br><br></div><div>I will use technologies as the LIM and the PC to show the texts and listen the audio tracks on the CD.  <br><br></div><div>I want to use a webtool for reading and vocabulary: Rewordify. It's a sophisticated natural language processing system. It understands <em>how</em> words and phrases are used. It changes definitions based on context. It preserves parts of speech and verb tenses.. <br><br></div><div>The Peter Pan story offers also connections with Geography (the Sea, the Island, the stars, London and UK) and Science (animals that can fly.<br><br></div><div>Students will increse their own vocabulary areas, grammar and structures by reading this book and will cooperate to realize a final work with a Poster and a Presentation.<br><br></div><div><br>An apparent problem for the Clil and for Extensive Reading is the insufficiency of time. We must overcome this idea, because we can connect to reading lots of connections and contents many links to all subjects. Extensive Reading is not just increase the lexical baggage, but provide students with opportunities to develop their knowledges.<br><br></div><div>Extenive reading saves time and skills!<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Hello everybody, my name’s Michele. I teach in a Primary School. I use a lot of webtool, but my favourite is Photopeach.  <br><br></div><div><a href="https://photopeach.com">https://photopeach.com<br></a><br></div><div>PhotoPeach is a tool that allows people to turn photos into a slideshow with music, captions and quiz. Google docs, Google maps, Glogster, Prezi or PhotoPeach are resources that could help teachers to develop subject contents in an interactive work using English or L2 like as the transverse medium.One of the features of CLIL is to take advantage of the most effective methods for teaching foreign languages ​​and good educational practices, such as student-centered, active and cooperative learning. With Clil teachers can also work with innovative methodological practices as the flipped classroom, an effective type of blended learning that involves active student participation.</pre><div><br></div>]]></description>
