I think that Jess is a determined person because he spend his own time to find it a way to get revenge on Janice Avery who didn’t do anything to him, she took his sisters twinkies, so he took his own time with Leslie to get revenge on her. His revenge was making a fake note from her crush and made her super embarrassed, because she thought it was a real note that her crush really made.
