Is it more important to THINK or to KNOW? by Diana Goyder

Which is more important, and why? Make sure you give evidence to support your thinking.

It is more important to know, everyone has different opinions and if we all thought our own opinion is correct, no one would know what is true and historians (in this case) would not of found out all of the things they have discovered. If we know what exactly what happened we would find true information and know more about ancestors or how they lived their lives many, many, many years ago. It is more important to know, even though thinking is very important.

Thinking something is not being sure and so it is more likely you will do research and learn more about the topic, you are more likely to explore the topic and change your ideas. Whereas when you know something you are more likely to stay with the knowledge, and not make connections. In addition to that, if you combine the thinking and the knowing of something you understand the topic better. For example, we think Henry the Vlll got more impatient after the accident and we know he got hit by a wooden stick in the head.
