         <description><![CDATA[<div>Manatees can be found in shallow, slow-moving rivers, <strong>estuaries</strong>, <strong>saltwater bays</strong>, <strong>canals</strong>, and <strong>coastal</strong> areas — particularly where <strong>sea grass</strong> beds or <strong>freshwater</strong> vegetation flourish. Manatees migrate. Some live in Florida during the winter. There are three species of manatee, distinguished primarily by where they live. One manatee population ranges along the North American east coast from Florida to Brazil. Other species inhabit the Amazon River and the west coast and rivers of Africa.</div>]]></description>
