Marley and Brianne are challenged with the task of saving their town and the world from the repercussions of decades of environmental injustice. The story demands the need for us to pay attention to the way we treat our planet and the way that the repercussions of our actions will be felt most by the youth of today.

Dry is a book about a somewhat post-apocalyptic world in which a long-standing drought becomes a climate emergency when the water runs out. The story highlights the desperation and chaos that humanity might resort to following the loss of resources that we depend on for survival. Though it leans on the side of science fiction/speculative fiction, there are some very relevant and real connections to real life in our current moment, as well as legitimate commentary on human nature and our responses to adversity and emergency.

Don't Look Up is a movie about two astronomers who must go on a media tour to attempt to warn the world about a meteor that is hurtling towards the Earth, large enough to destroy all life as we know it. The movie is a commentary on the tendencies we have to ignore the changes to Earth's climate and the increasingly common natural disasters that it has caused in order to carry on with ordinary life until it is too late. The movie also comments on the media's desire to sensationalize without doing anything about the issues it covers.

The day after tomorrow is a movie about Jack Hall, a paleo-climatologist who notices a weather change related to the advent of the second ice age --a weather change that is about to happen in modern times as Carbon Dioxide rates continue to harm the atmosphere. Following a series of major weather disasters, the world enters a new ice age, and Jack, in Washington D.C. is separated from his son in New York City. Determined to get to him before weather turns from worse to worst, Jack must do whatever he can to save his son from a climate that only he really understands. The movie is another commentary on the way that society stalls its response to climate change, as well as the extremes in climate that our habits and lifestyles may be causing.

Eilish's song from her debut album "WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?" addresses climate change in a very subtle and poignant way, insinuating that the rising heat from global warming is like the heat from hell boiling over, and pointing out that we as humans have brought this fate onto ourselves. She illustrates her somewhat abstract ideas in her music video, in which she is dressed as a fallen angel dressed in all black as she dances while the street burns behind her. Essentially, the song is calling out her listeners for being able to see climate change and global warming but most do not do anything about it.

It's beautiful, it's acoustic, it's the lovely Joni Mitchell. The lyrics are very clearly about the environment, but the title focuses more on the destruction of nature and corporate greed more than other titles in this linked text set, which have a heavier focus on the aspects of climate justice such as global warming and depletion of resources.

She seeks to highlight issues of materialism and over-consumption through the use of nontraditional mixed media in a visually interesting way. The picture itself is a portrait of a young child who assembles such products in assembly lines which force slave-like conditions onto innocent and naive children, a very powerful image. This visual interprets the issue of climate change through a lens of social inequality, reminding the viewer that though climate change affects all, those in places of lower socioeconomic status and higher poverty feel its effects the most.

The novel highlights the ways that western civilization is ruining the world through over-consumption and materialization, as well as the way that it has historically disenfranchised Indigenous people and destroyed their ancestral land. (There's a deeper history to that as well, in which native people were forced to work in mines and other dangerous environments in the west, forced to be exposed to radiation in their communities when the reservation land they were pushed onto were used as nuclear weapon testing sites during the cold war and probably still today.
