Another reason would be addiction. Some people just can’t live without somethings. They may think that one drink they take before a trip is fine and they’ll be ok but they more likely then not are not fine and need help.

Some people who may have been drinking a lot before hand, may have thought that they were under the limit, or even be under the limit, but when it came to driving, they still faced problems. People may be too confident that a small amount of alcohol wouldn't affect their ability to drive at all, but that's not the case.
