I guess they say my dollars supposed to build roads and schools. But my niggas barely graduate, they ain't got the tools. Maybe 'cause the tax dollars that I make sure I send. Get spent hirin' some teachers that don't look like them. And the curriculum be tricking them, them dollars I spend. Got us learning about the heroes with the whitest of skin.

We just some products of our environment
How the **** they gon' blame us?
You can't fight fire with fire
I know, but at least we can turn up the flames some
Every colored person ain't dumb and all whites not racist
I be judging by the mind and heart, I ain't really into faces
****** up, the way that we livin' is not getting better
You gotta know how to survive
Crazy, I had to tell all of my loved ones
To carry a gun when they going outside

The meaning behind this is the same ironic almost similar to the meaning behind Childish Gambino's song. The motivation behind this song is to pursue other people that action's speak louder than words. People say they're not racist but let stereotypes take over and it ends up harming others. Neighborhoods are not made safe for colored but then the racial wealth gap and not safe areas are blamed on those people in the neighborhoods.

- Lidia B.

"Why the feds tryna build a case on me? (Damn)
Got a lot of pussy rappers hatin' on me (uh)
Lil' bad bitch off IG at the St. Regis waitin' on me (Gabbana)
I don't eat pork, but got a pocket full of bacon on me

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, straight out the trenches shinin'
Woah, woah, woah, woah, I walk in and change the climate (ice)
It's a cold world, make sure you keep your heat with you (for real, though)
Them same ni**** that starved with you, let 'em eat with you (gang)

The police pulled me over for nothin', just because she racist (damn, man)
Two minutes later, it's five police cars
They got me face down on the pavement (goddamn, man)
Just 'cause I'm a black man in America (what about it?)
That's what give them permission to treat us terrible (hell nah)

They say this the land of the free (that's a lie)
It seem like the land of bullshit to me (yeah, yeah)
They say this the land of the free (uh-huh)
But it seem like the land of bullshit to me (uh)"

This isn't necessarily my favorite song but I remembered listening to this song a few times, it represents the survival and the truth in suffering in communities where African Americans are discriminated against and hunted down. He told many stories about enforcement policies and brutality that weren't equitable to people like him, one involving the death of George Floyd in this song. Where he mentioned "Two minutes later, it's five police cars. They got me face down on the pavement (goddamn, man)." Shows him pinned down in the music video imitating George Floyd's position. It also showed names of victims spray-painted on the police cars, it's a very strong motive that he showed out for these victims. Young Dolph has created countless songs that involved this specific topic leading to his death in Memphis.

- Anna Y.
