The document as a guidance for all services working with vulnerable people, their parents and carers is written to make sure that the right help at the right time depended on individual needs is provided. Everyone in terms of health and social care standards should be treated with respect, compassion and dignity. Every vulnerable person should feel cared for, supported and included.

Spending time outdoors have an impact on children health, development, confidence, concentration and much more. Learning outdoors helps to understand relations with nature. It also builds respect and sense of importance of the environment we live in.

I’m glad that play is taken seriously in Scotland as an important part of child development. I’m impressed that this guideline even exists.

The story tent was a fantastic idea I am extremely passionate about children being exposed to books from being young babies and the benefits it can have on overall development.
