Exercise 1
i) Argument about energy drinks begin in 2011, there are pediatricians recommended kids and teens should never taking energy drinks because of the present of caffeine inside it. However, caffeine also have in coffee, tea, soda and chocolate and there are experts recommend on how much caffeine should be taken by adults and kids in a day. Besides, there are other additives contain in energy drinks such as Guarana and Taurine. Energy drinks also has a lot of sugar that can lead to diabetes and obesity. Supported by a paper published in the Journal of Pediatrics, experts warns kids with heart problems, ADHD or diabetes taking energy drinks. There are also ban made from certain country such as Lithuania on the sale of energy drinks to anyone under the age of 18. However, this restriction are unfair and people bring up the reasons on the production of energy drinks.
ii) In my opinion, energy drinks should not be banned for Malaysians under the age of 18 instead giving guidance on marketing and labelling of energy drinks would be the best option. The awareness through campaigns about eating and drinking healthy foods and drinks also can help Malaysians avoid overcosuming of energy drinks. This awareness also help parents to practice and develop healthy life to their children until they become an adult.

Exercise 2 (Page 6, D)
1. Line 20-21, 31-35, 41-42. This argument strong because the reasons are supported by fact and scientific evidence.
2. Line 26-29. This argument weak because there are no supporting ideas, action or theory why caffeine is dangerous to children. It is just a general beliefs.
3. In my opinion, I agree with the writers, healthy life should become priority from kids to adults. Parents should lead their children to take foods and drinks moderately. Even if people are not consuming energy drinks at all, they still can get sick because of unhealthy life. Therefore, it is important to take good care of our body.

1.Everyone like energy drink in 1997 and since energy drink like redbulll have skyrocted in popularity but started an argument about energy drink in 2011. Many of Pediatricions of US recomended kid and teens should never drink energy drink. It all because caffeine. The caffeine is in a ton of thing like coffe, tea, soda and even chocolate but the danger of this caffeine really boil down to how much you have. An expert recommend that caffeine should be taken by adult is no more than 400 miligram a day and kid is no more than 100 milligrams per day. Beside that, not only caffeine are indegrediant in energy drink but also have like guarana and taurine. The guarana two time of caffeine found in coffe beans and taurine is amino acid that building block protein. A lot of sugar contained in energy drink. The expert warn that energy drink highly risky for kid with heart problem, ADHD or diabetes. Lithuania become the first country that banned energy drink to under 18 in 2014.

2. In my opinion, energy drink should be banned for Malaysia under age of 18 because energy drinks containing high levels of caffeine as it is capable of causing deaths when abused. The high levels of caffeine and sugar will boost the energy and keep one’s alert temporarily. The body soon goes into a major crash, leaving it weak and exhausted with no immunity.Besides that, the high sugar content in energy drinks can cause obesity which can lead to diabetes.

i. Everyone like to drink energy drinks especially among young teens and adults. But, some argument show energy drinks potentially have serious effect to our body including high blood pressure, hyperactive and so on. Based on a report published in Pediatric Emergency Care, a survey found 76% out of 612 young people between ages 12 and 18 experienced a headache in the last six months, 47% experienced anger and 22% reported difficulty breathing. This is due to the ingredient contained in energy drinks such as caffeine. Caffeine has a side effect if someone taking it in large quantities. Therefore, an expert recommended that caffeine should taken by adult not more than 400mg per day and kid not more than 100mg per day. Other than that, in energy drinks also has guarana and taurine which is two times of caffeine.

ii. In my opinion, energy drinks should not be banned in Malaysian under the age of 18 because these energy drinks still have their own benefits such as can boost someone's energy and also can increase brain function. Therefore, the government should not be banned energy drinks instead the government should rise public's awareness especially under the age 18 on the importance of healthy eating and beverages.

i) Energy drinks have long been a favorite of teens and children. But it's not safe to drink for people under 18. In 2011, an organization with over 60000 pediatricians named American Academics of Pediatrics recommended that energy drinks should never be consumed by teenagers and kids because of caffeine. Even though this report was a long time ago since 2011 but the report was recently have been reaffirmed by the academy itself. Caffeine is not only found in energy drinks but also in coffee, tea, chocolate, and soda. Besides, caffeine is not the only one that needs to be worried. There are also other ingredients that were harmful which are Guarana and Taurine. It is not surprising that high levels of sugar are also present in this energy drink which could lead to diabetes and obesity. Official journal called Pediatrics had claimed that energy drinks taken by underage were too risky especially for children with heart problems, ADHD, and diabetes. Energy drinks have since been banned from anyone under 18 and Lithuania was the first country to ban it in 2014.

ii) In my opinion, energy drinks should not be banned in Malaysia. I disagree because there has never been a case of death or danger arising from this energy drink. In addition, this energy drink also has many benefits that can be enjoyed by the community. Among the benefits and benefits of drinking this energy drink is that it can give you energy boost, keep your red blood cells and nerves healthy, and also help relieve arthritis pains and lower blood lipids

This argument is weak because there is no evidence or action that can support the statement.
3) In my opinion, it is true that energetic drinks pose a danger to children but are not fatal. I don't agree with the author. I think children should not be allowed to drink energy drinks because energy drinks also have some other benefits such as it can boost energy, helps body with cardiovaskular, immune and nervous system function.
