The difference between Internally displaced persons (IDPs) and refugees is that IDPs move and travel inside the country to seek for oportunities, or a better life, and the refugees migrate to another country to escape the difficult and violent situations, that put in danger their lifes and some of them are helped by the government. I think it's harder for the refugees because they need to go away from their country and let everything they know behind, also the situations are harder because they are from a violent country and people they know died for this. But I think IDPs create more trouble in a country, because they don't recieve any governmental help, and they need money fast, so they may start a criminal life in seek for a better life, or they may start living in the streets.

An internally displaced person is the one to have to get out of their houses because of a disaster, or a personal topic in their own country, the difference between refugees is that this people don’t have the support that they need, because they are still in their own country, they don’t have a law that help them in this kind of situation that they have to scape from their houses. The refugees are a complete different situation, they have also to scape from their houses, but i mean it as they have to actually go to other countries to be safe, its a fact that, when a person crosses the border, its automatically a refugee person, so the fact its the next sentence; They are protected under international law, specifically the 1951 Refugee Convention, and often seek asylum in another country.

Knowing the facts about each one of the situations, my opinion is that is harder to be in a situation, that you have to leave your house, being in your own country, but in fact, there is nobody to help you when you have to leave your house for knowing reasons. It is also a fact that there is people that think that, when is more refugees in one country, this government need to focus in these refugees, if its also meaning that this refugees are not people from this country, there is people that say that; his own goverment need to focus in their own people, not in Foreigners. In my opinion there just people that need help, but there is always bad governments in the world that don’t want their own people to be well, so this people just have to turn into refugees, it’s a fact, its just the world.

The difference between both of them is, that the IDPs are the people who have been forced to leave their homes due to conflict, violence, natural disasters, etc. But they remain in the coutry, taht means they still have the governments protection, even if that´s the cause of their displacement. And Refugees are the people who have crossed an international border to escape from persecutions, conflicts, and they are unwilling to return to their countries for any of that reason. They are still recognized and protected under international law.

While both suffer, I think IDPs are harder, because at the end of all, they are still trapped inside the country, with no new opportunities and similar problems that were the cause for them to leave their homes. For example, if someone leaved their home because the government was really bad, they still had to go to another home in the same country and contidions, and the government is still the same, so , that continues being a problem, while the refugees could just leave to a whole new country with a whole new job opportunities and with the chance of a fresh beginning. So, while both have their problematics, being an IDP its still way harder.

Internally displaced persons (IDPs) are people who have been forced to leave their homes in a city or community, but remain within the borders of their own country. They do not cross international borders and remain under the protection of their government, although the government may sometimes be the cause of their displacement. Refugees, on the other hand, are people who flee their country because of conflict, persecution, violence or the government itself, crossing international borders in search of protection or betterment in other countries. Refugees receive protection under international law, while internally displaced persons do not always have access to such protection.

In my opinion, internally displaced persons have more difficulties than refugees because they remain in the same country where the conflict or threat exists, which leaves them exposed to danger. In addition, they often receive less humanitarian aid, as they do not have the protection of international law as refugees do. Lack of access to basic resources and ongoing violence can worsen their situation, creating more problems for them and for the stability of the country. As a result, IDPs may be more vulnerable.

For me IDPs can have more problems and often face more difficulties as they do not have international protection like for example Africans who come to Europe and IDPs stay in their country which may still be in conflict or have the same problem they left for in the first place, Also here you can see much more help as for example the international help that can be given to a single country to support and help these people. Finally as I said before internal problems of a country can be more forgotten as they are people in countries in a state of war but seeing another side refugees also face many problems such as discrimination or adaptation to a new country as for example when we did our exchange to Germany there could be people who told us bad things about our country or culture and they are not only things that we live it is an everyday situation.

In conclusion everyone goes through difficult and complicated situations being an IDP or a refugee.

The difference between internally displaced persons and refugees is that, an internally displaced person is the one who is forced to leave his home, because of a persecution or a problem of its own, but they are not obligated to leave their native country, like the refugees that due to economic, political or social problems, are forced to leave their country’s and migrate, to search for better opportunities for living.

I think its harder for refugees in this situation, because they are forced to leave a place where they’ve lived all their life, have had all their memories and are obligated to leave family behind. It also hard to escape or leave a country between borders, because they experiment a lot of hard experiences and difficulties through the places where they migrate, even though its the better option, because some of them can’t take a plane to another country, so they search for a new life by crossing borders. I think it’s sad for someone to leave their life’s behind due to problems from the country.

First of all, internally displaced persons are people who has been displaced in their internal country. For example someone who has been displaced from Medellin to Bogota because of natural disasters. The reasons of this aspect are internal wars, natural disasters, bad economic situations, and many more.

At the other side, we have refugees. Refugees are persons that has been moved because of wars, persecutions, threats, etc. Both are very difficult for persons, but I think that for refugees is much harder because of what leaving the country means to the person, the family, work, and more. Not just that, also the problematic that refugees live in wars, being scared of what could happen. One example is Palestine. The refugees need to move to other countries like Egypt, Libanon and Egypt because of the war, being difficult for the families. Another issue is that the countries that received refugees in many cases don’t support with the basics (food, home, education) because their are not from the country and because they don’t have resources to pay it, making refugees life much harder.

In conclusion, I think that both are bigger problems to persons that has been displaced, but refugees have to lead with more problematics and economic situations.

The difference between internally displaced persons and refugees is mainly about where they go when they flee danger. Internally displaced persons are people who have leave their homes because of war, natural disasters or violence, but they stay inside their country. Refugees, on the other hand, cross a border into another country to find safety.

Both groups have many difficulties, but internally displaced persons might have a harder time. Since they are still in their own country, they don’t always get the same international help that refugees do. Their government might be too weak or unwilling to protect them. They may still be in danger because the same problems that forced them to flee could continue.

Refugees, though, also have struggles. They have to adapt to a new country, were they might not speak the language or understand the culture. Sometimes, other countries don’t want to accept them, making their situation worse.

Internally displaced persons can create more issues because there are often millions of them stuck in unsafe conditions without enough food, water, or medical care. Their country may not be able to help them, and since they haven’t left their homeland, international organizations have limited ways to step in. To conclude, internally displaced persons are harder because they don’t have as many legal protections as refugees do.

Internally displaced persons (IDPs) and refugees both flee their homes due to conflict, violence, or disasters, but the key difference is that IDPs remain within their country, while refugees cross international borders seeking protection. Refugees receive legal protection under international law, while IDPs rely on their government, which may be unwilling or unable to help. IDPs often face greater hardships as they remain in conflict zones with limited humanitarian aid. Refugees may also struggle but have access to asylum and international support. Overall, IDPs often experience more difficulties due to their lack of legal status and continued exposure to danger. In my opinion Internally displaced persons (IDPs) face greater challenges than refugees because they remain within their country, often without legal protection or access to humanitarian aid. Their government may be unwilling or unable to help, and they are frequently trapped in conflict zones with no safe escape. Unlike refugees, IDPs cannot seek asylum in another country or receive international legal protection. While refugees struggle to rebuild their lives, they at least have access to global support. IDPs, however, lack rights, resources, and security, making their situation far more precarious and dangerous, with fewer opportunities for long-term stability or safety.
