Right now, I’m a student with big dreams and even bigger hopes. I may still be figuring things out, but one thing I hold on to is my goal of becoming a lawyer someday. I want to use that path not just for myself, but to give a voice to those who are often unheard, especially our indigenous tribes who deserve respect, protection, and justice. I know the journey won’t be easy. There will be sleepless nights, moments of doubt, and times when I might question if I can really do it. But I hope you, my future self, never forget the fire in your heart right now, the reason you started. Always remember that this dream is not only about achieving success, but about standing up for others and giving back to the communities that shaped who we are. To become a successful corporate lawyer who excels in both law and business, providing expert legal solutions while achieving personal and professional growth. To further this objective, I plan to:

First Step: I am currently a Grade 12 ABM student because I am interested in developing strong analytical and business skills that will help me in my future legal career.

Second Step: I will pursue a BS Accountancy degree at Ateneo de Davao University because it provides a strong foundation in financial and business principles, which are essential for a future career in corporate law.

Third Step: While studying in college, I will focus on excelling in subjects like taxation and obligations and contracts (Oblicon) to build expertise relevant to corporate law.

Fourth Step: After graduating from college, I will prepare for the CPA licensure examination and begin working to gain practical experience in accounting and business.

Fifth Step: I will then proceed to Ateneo de Manila University Law School to earn my Juris Doctor degree, further preparing myself for a career in law. Then, I will take the bar exam and fulfill my dream of becoming a lawyer by 2036.

Sixth Step: My ultimate goal is to become a corporate lawyer, achieving professional excellence and living comfortably.

She’s special to me because she makes me feel genuinely cared for and understood. I can truly say I love her, not just because of what she does, but because of who she is and how she makes my life brighter.

2. What lessons did you learn from them about love and relationships in general?

She taught me that love isn’t just about grand gestures, it’s about patience, communication, and showing up even during difficult times. I learned that real love grows through effort and understanding.

3. What type of love according to Robert Sternberg’s Triangular Theory of Love do you think you have with the people in the picture? Why can you say so?

I think we have consummate love, because our relationship has passion, intimacy, and commitment. We connect deeply, support each other, and stay strong through challenges.

4. What emotions do you usually feel when you are with the people in the picture?

When I’m with her, I feel peace, joy, and a sense of belonging. She makes me feel safe and genuinely happy, like everything is right when she’s around.

5. How were they able to influence you to be the person that you are now?

She inspired me to be more patient, kind, and open-minded. Because of her, I’ve learned to see life with more hope and to love not just others, but myself too.

I wish my family would stop comparing me to others because it makes me feel pressured and less confident. It doesn’t motivate me to improve, but instead makes me doubt my own progress. I believe encouragement and understanding would help me grow better.

REFLECTION

For me, recognizing both the challenges and blessings in my family helps me understand them and myself better. It teaches me to be patient and to look for ways to improve our relationship. By seeing the good, I learn to be grateful, and by seeing the hard parts, I learn to be understanding. This helps me strive for magis to become a better person for the good of others.
