SDG 15 Life on land

In order to bring in the SDG to the game, we plan to use some questions about the climate action and life on land to be our theme. The idea of the game designed is based on the question and answer card game.

Theme : Sustainable Development Goals (SDG13 & SDG15)

Setting : The Verdant Valley

Description :

"The Verdant Valley" is a board game set in a diverse valley threatened by climate change. Players become conservationists and leaders dedicated to protecting the valley's rich plant and animal life. They must implement sustainable practices to fight climate change and restore habitats. Throughout the game, players face challenges like extreme weather and habitat loss, learning about the importance of their choices for the environment. The game aims to inspire players to advocate for sustainability and protect the planet.

1. Turn-Based Gameplay: Players take turns making decisions and taking actions to protect the valley.

2. Resource Management: Players must manage resources like energy, water, and wildlife habitats to maintain balance in the valley.

3. Event Cards: Random event cards simulate challenges like extreme weather or habitat destruction, requiring players to adapt their strategies.

4. Decision Making: Players make choices that impact the environment and the valley's inhabitants, learning about the consequences of their actions.

   
   

Overall, the game mechanics are designed to engage players in meaningful decision-making and cooperative gameplay while teaching them about environmental conservation and sustainability.

1. Instruction for the Board Game:

• Improve the clarity and organization of the instructions.

2. Placement of Steps in the Board Game:

• Adjust the placement of steps for answering Q&A questions and receiving fate cards to improve game flow.

3. Card Games for Q&A:

• Shorten the Q&A cards to allow players to respond more quickly.

  
  

This revised version organizes the feedback into clear points and provides a concise summary of the areas for improvement.

The feedback is invaluable to us, as it helps us enhance our games to be enjoyable for players of all ages. Additionally, it provides us with the challenge of ensuring our games are accessible and understandable. This is how we continuously improve our board games.

From our observations, we can conclude the following:

1. Rules and Instructions: The recent changes to our board game's rules and instructions are effective. Players found them clear and had no issues following them.

2. Animal Figures: The animal figures are too large to stand properly on the board game steps. This needs to be addressed.

3. Question Cards: The questions on the cards are understandable and concise enough for players to read quickly.
