As she gets more and more upset about the moose, and the fact that it's only light out for five hours a day, she discovers that the moose likes Latkes and finally leaves their yard. </p><p><br></p><p>This is a great book to introduce different religious holidays, along with different weather that people in different regions experience. It goes onto show what people can do to fix this issue. </p><p><br/></p><p>This book is great to show the threat that pollution is to the ocean/ animals living in it. It is also a great book due to its rhythm and repetitive nature. </p><p><br/></p><p>Engages with onset-rime, suitable for grades first- third. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>This is a variation of the classic book "I know an old lady who swallowed a fly", but instead of a fly she is swallowing Thanksgiving food. She eats a pie, cider, a bread roll, a squash, all of the salad, the turkey, and a ten-layer cake. At the end of the book we see her so full she looks like a balloon in a parade. </p><p><br></p><p>This is a great silly book to read around Thanksgiving time. These books are great due to their repetitiveness along with rhyming. </p><p><br></p><p>Phonological awareness, print motivation, K- second grade. </p>]]></description>

He wakes up in a birds nest, and after getting in trouble we follow him through a crazy dream about being a Chihuahua and seeing him fight an evil bumblebee. At the end he realizes he like just being a cat. </p><p><br></p><p>This is a great book to read, as it has some use of Spanish, which using illustrations the children could recognize. It could be used to teach children about imagination and dreaming. </p><p><br></p><p>Engages with print motivation and narrative skills. Suitable for grades first- third. </p>]]></description>

Although it is the story about a girl going into a male dominated field, it can be a good lesson on not giving up on your dreams. Upon seeing her upset, many different animals come to check on her, including an elephant, a snake, a kangaroo, and many more. She does not want anyone to talk to her, so they all get mad and walk away. That is until the rabbit comes along and doesn't try to talk to her, it just listens. After listening, Taylor decides to try building her tower up again. </p><p><br></p><p>This is another good book to teach about social- emotional skills. Upon getting home, her moms joined her in the snow, and they made up a new animal that is the symbol of courage and strength, making her feel better. </p><p><br/></p><p>My Footprints is an amazing book that tackles some serious topics. He always knew he was a boy, and after talking to his mom and dad, he was able to make his transition to his true self. When his parents tell him they're having a baby, Aidan wanted to make to make sure the baby felt loved and accepted. His parents remind him that he helped his parents understand what he was feeling, and because of that he was going to make a great big brother. The stories ends with showing the family enjoying the new baby and spreading love. </p><p><br></p><p>This book can be used to introduce gender identity, and what that can look like especially in kids. Once in the middle of the book you read a tiny book about the giants friends helping her read her tiny book. Then each book is closed page by page, and the story ends by telling the reader to open another book with a big picture off all of the animals and the giant sitting in a big treehouse library. </p><p><br/></p><p>This book is extremely engaging, with it's multiple- book plot.          <description><![CDATA[<p>Good Night Gorilla is a silly picture book with minimal words, but big bright illustrations that show a zookeeper putting all of the animals to bed, what he doesn't realize is that the gorilla stole his keys in the beginning and is letting all of the animals out. Then all of the animals follow him into his house and go to bed with him, and his wife hears them all saying good night. It ends with her putting all of the animals back in their cages. </p><p><br/></p><p>This is a great introduction book for kids. The book ends with the book telling the reader to turn off the light, acting as the end until they can get the story figured out. </p><p><br></p><p>This is a super fun book, as it engages kids to help create the story. For each letter, there is a word that shows how it changes when one letter is removed from it. Some examples of this are taking the "c" out of chair gives you hair, and without the "u" in aunt, it is just ant. Along with the words are illustrations of what the words look like together ( for "u" it is a family dinner of snails but one is an ant). To end the book, it says without z we cannot say the alphabet. </p><p><br/></p><p>This is the perfect book to practice letter recognization.
