She placed these children in what would be safer homes than if they would have stayed with their Jewish families and saved their information in a jar (Mayer et al., 2020). After the war, she was able to reunite some of the children with their parents, but most of the parents and family members of these children died in the Treblinka concentration camp (Mayer et al., 2020).
