I think we are living in a simultaneous need to live and think at the same time. We want the very first time the student gets into school to have all these attributes but we fail to a certain extent to achieve it completely. We are thinking it in the secondary and hoping we achieve it in such a short amount of time which is not logical. Because during that time the students are already so caught up with their own mindset on the type of life they want to live and lead in the future.

I’ve always heard from the students that they can’t manage their time to balance their academics with their personal lives and personal goals leading to a lot of stress and anxiety. I think it’s time we listen to them and what they want to be rather than forcing them to become something they are not.

I will talk about a project in grade 10 where students where grouped and asked to work on creating a political party and draw a logo and write a political program that tackles the Lebanese crisis, then elect a president and submit a 5 year plan. All groups presented,

In drama and languages(French), our subjects entitles us to communicate; to create and to be intellectually curious, in addition to think critically. Being creative of the content develops responsibility, researching and exposing oneself in other scripts, directors, literature, authors creates global citizenship, and being able to witness the performance and presentations of the others creates empathy.
