Why do I use Google?
These days we rely on the internet to search and retreive information and materials for various reasons in our everyday lives.
Whilst there are many resources out there to help me enhance the information and search literacies , by learning to use search engines it will increase my vocabulary in the targetted language, improve spellng as well as culture.
SEARCH LITERACY - Focuses mainly on  information 'ability to make effective use of a wide array of search engines.
LITERACY FOR LANGUAGE LEARNING - When undertaking searches do I need to use a language specific version on Google (France, German etc) Or do I need google's enhanced search features to narrow my search by language or region as well as to specify search words or phrases?

Good way to send information of location to new people visiting club ans found that these maps stood out the best.

  • Texting does not always fololw the standard rules of English grammar, nor usual word spellings.

The use of writing and reading a document.
Ability to identify, create a document, communicate that material for someone to see what training is being done outside sessions in a clear format for them to understand. The below written document was completed by my 15 yr old daughter from her training diary who is on the squad and had to record areas of her training on a daily basis. 
The diaries were supplied by 'Cricket Wales' as literacy materials for the squad to record one's training.
This is one of the extracts of a day which she recorded what she did this primarily is numeracy literacies communicating  stats time, calories burned, quantity of steps.
She also had recorded her training in the form of a media clip on her smartphone in both normal capture and also in slow motion.  But when she submitted this she created additional material onto the video clip with speach explaining, describing what excercise / training she was doing.  This enabled her to give more information for the viewer to see the detail what she was thinking when doing her exercises. Unfortunatley she was embarrased for me to release this on the padlet.

Digital literacy being able to understand and use technology.
The ability to use and create this information online in a beneficial and useful way.

This is an informal document, and a way for the coaches to capture what the children do out of the classroom ✔
What happens with this data?
This is then provided to the Squad personal trainer to follow any progress and record the data onto their own systems.
