Crosby and Noah Roy’s dad served many years as a Marine in the USMC - serving in Iraq as an infantryman. He then went on to be a private security specialist, emergency response team, at the US Embassy in Kabul Afghanistan for many more years. Now he serves as a Texas State Trooper.

Crosby and Noah come from a heavy military family with many great uncles, uncles and grandparents who served - including 4 Great Grandfathers. These family members served in nearly every war our country has fought: WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Desert Storm, Iraq and Afghanistan. Thank you to all the other veterans honored here, and not honored here, for your years of service and dedication to keeping freedom.

Mason, River, and Hudson Rodriguez’s daddy and Mrs. Rodriguez’s husband, served in the U.S. Navy. We lived on Joint base Andrews for 4 years and watched the president come on and off base in Air Force One. Lukas Rodriguez, proudly served in the Navy as an AE working on C-130’s also known as “Hercules”. Lukas had the honor of marching in the president's inauguration parade in Washington D.C. Bryan Spangler is Mason, River, and Hudson Rodriguez’s uncle and Mrs. Rodriguez’s brother. He served in the marines for 5 years as an infantryman. Haditha and Hit were the two main areas in Iraq in the Al Anbar province were he was deployed. He was with the 15th marine expeditionary unit during that deployment and sailed over on the USS Comstock.

Served with 2nd battalion 4th Marines, golf company, weapons platoon. "Joker 4" was their call sign.

He served in the Iraqi Freedom war.

During his time in the marines Bryan traveled to Austrailia, Okinawa, Thailand, India, Kuwait.

Jack S. Roughgarden (great grandfather of Slyla Grosjean) enlisted in the US Navy after the attack on Pearl Harbor in December of 1941. He served four years, 1942-1945 aboard the USS Kasaan Bay and USS Shangri-La aircraft carrier and escort carrier in the South Pacific. He served as a Landing Signal Officer (LSO) directing the planes to land on the deck of the ship. Additionally, he served as a bugler playing reveille every morning and playing taps when men were killed in action. Jack lived in New Jersey but was deployed for service from San Diego, California. He served for many years as Commander of the VFW assisting veterans after their service was completed.
