1. Functions and features of the technology- The technology allows you to listen, record, and produce content. Students can listen to podcast containing information, but they also can produce content for assignments.
2. Strengths of the technology- Teachers can use the technology to allow students to get outside sources/information, the auditory and/or visual aspects are differentiation. It is often more compelling for students, and can be a fun source for projects.
3. Limitations of the technology- the internet is something that some communities still struggle to have. There is not a writing component and everything is auditory or visual.
4. Prospective uses within a your content area- I would most likely assign podcasts to listen about history, TED has good content about various topics. Students can make podcasts about a subject for a project, for example, they can make a podcast as if they were a student during the French Revolution.

1. Functions and features of the technology- Twitter is a social media website that allows you to communicate, mainly through words, but can include videos and images.

2. Strengths of the technology- It is a great and fun way to incorporate the modern with the past, and will allow students to think in perspectives.

3. Limitations of the technology- Writing on twitter is short and often incorporates slang, and is limited to a word count. Lengthy paragraphs do not work well visually either.

4. Prospective uses within a your content area- I would have the students study a particular person, group, or event, and then they would comment on something of that time or a current event. For example, what would Thomas Jefferson say if there was a twitter during the American Revolution, and use a couple of tweets. What would Jefferson say about the government today?

1. Functions and features of the technology- Piktochart is a website that allows student to create an infographic. It incorporates images and information and can be done creatively.

2. Strengths of the technology. It allows students to create something that they can use to put forth the information that they learned. It is creative rather than doing something they might find less interesting. Images and limited word count is good for students that struggle. for teachers it is online which may be easier to grade, and you do not have to print them. It is great to use to review which helps both students and teachers.

3. Limitations of the technology- Videos are not allowed, it can be limiting in the amount of content.

4. Prospective uses within a your content area- I would use this as either a way to review (end of year) a subject. It can also be an introduction, have the students, for example, have the students research why people moved west and create this graphic as a pamphlet. Then you would teach westward expansion.
