Dill is a short and skinny boy who didn't look so bright, but he chooses to ignore his childish look. Scout said he had "blue linen shorts that buttoned to his shirt, his hair was snow white and stuck to his head like duckfluff" (Lee 8). Overall, Dill, as shown in the photo and quote above, had hair that gelled to his forehead while wearing a shirt that looked like a young school boy. This appearance also shifted how others saw him. People saw him as innocent, adorable, maybe even annoying at times.

Dill Harris is IMAGINATIVE in various ways. He tries to imagine what Boo Radley looks like in the beginning when he first was encountered with the idea of him. Another example is when he wanted to go to Tom Robinson's trial to see what it looked like. Unfortunately, he was shown the lowest and cruelest actions any human could do to another. But, overall, Dill Harris is an imaginative character, and very curious at times.

Dill Baker Harris is an example of a static character in the novel To Kill A Mockingbird. He maintains the imaginative and childish behavior, but also matures morally. For example, "Dill had started crying and couldn’t stop," he later said, “That old Mr. Gilmer doin’ him thataway, talking so hateful to him" (Lee 181). He was infuriated and fed up by the way Mr. Gilmer was treating Tom Robinson while being asked questions. Dill knows that the way Tom was being treated was unfair and cruel, but he unfortunately had to deal with it. But, overall, Dill shows no change in personality but grows to show empathy and compassion towards others and their situations.

Dill Baker Harris is childish at times, for example, in the beginning of the novel, he used to ask both Jem and Scout to roleplay as the Radleys'.
Secondly, Dill is very thoughtful towards others. For example, Dill wants to invite Boo Radley out for some ice cream because he feels bad that he stays inside all the time. He even says, "I figure if he'd come out and sit a spell with us he might feel better" (Lee 52).
Thirdly, Dill is always curious of his surroundings, such as the time where he wanted to know where Boo Radley stayed at in the county jail.
Dill is also very unpredictable when it comes to his actions. For example, in chapter 14, he ran away from his mom/step dad and stayed at Jem and Scout's place.
Lastly, he is overall a spontaneous character. Dill always does unexpected things throughout the book, this is due to his curiousness, his childlike self, and his unpredictability. He comes over to the Finch's and says the most random things. For example, when Jem and Scout first encountered Dill, he said, "I'm Charles Baker Harris, I can read" (Lee 7), which isn't something people usually say to others as a first impression.

Dill Harris was born in the Meridian, which is not located in Maycomb. He is mainly an outsider, but due to him having relatives in town, it allows him to blend in without much attention. He is also the closest friend that both Jem and Scout Finch have.

In the family, Dill is excluded from various things. They don't pay attention to him and neglect him. He tells Scout: “they do get on a lot better without me, I can’t help them any" (Lee 162). He feels as though they don't need him in the family, like he's an extra piece to them.

At times, Dill Baker Harris is the most fair and thoughtful character. He has great morals when it comes to being equal to everybody.
He also doesn't get treated the best or get the attention he deserves. Due to this, Dill is able to relate to others while also keeping that snarky personality. That is the reason why, personally, this is the best quote he could've ever said.
