When Soviet Russia went into Iran. Many Iranians captured more than 60 Americans. They released the colored men and women while keeping 52 men hostage for 444 days in total. This is one of the major events that contributes to "Islamophobia" in today's society. The hostages were not set free until the day of Reagan's inauguration in 1980.

This government run agency was made to enforce environmental standards, mange research, and to create other policies. Created in 1970, this agency also redistributed powers from other government run agencies.

The Gold Standard

Watergate

In 1972, one of the largest political scandals was exposed. Richard Nixon the 37th President of the United States was revealed to be spying on the DNC during the time of their campaign. After the FBI and CIA got involved, they found many abuses by the Nixon administration leading to the process of impeachment.
