-Author: Kevin Smith
-Subject: How AI will affect jobs in California
-Audience: Californians
-Context: How AI will affect jobs for those living in California
-Summary: This is an article that takes a look at the rise of AI and what that means for Californians. The article states that the prediction of the number of jobs that are at risk of being lost to AI is around 321,900 in the state of California. The article goes on to mention how the rise of AI is projected to impact various types of jobs. One example given is how “The new programs like ChatGPT will make many office jobs more efficient by helping to write invoices or letters.” AI being used for something as simple as writing an invoice should be a clear warning of whats to come. Not only would AI be used for simple tasks, but it would also take over more complex jobs. Further into the article there is a list of the most at risk jobs to be taken by AI. These jobs are Cashier (more than 3.3 million), Customer service representative (more than 2.7 million), Bookkeeper (991,047), IT support technician (690,525), Billing clerk (477,349), HR assistant (384,826), Paralegal assistant (336,250), Compliance officer (334,340), Claims assessor (314,300), and Executive assistant (304,678). All of these jobs are the most at risk, but this is not all the jobs that could be taken as a result of the rise of AI.

Smith, Kevin. “Will Ai Take Your Job? This could be an interpretation of the path we are heading down when it comes to the rise of AI. This comic was made to get people to think about the rise of AI and what role it will play in our lives as we create more and more advanced forms of AI. To really think about how far we are willing to let things go before it is eventually too late.

How we rely so much on it that we will go as far as becoming computers in a future where humans have left behind nature in favor of becoming one with technology. Therefore becoming the computers we so rely on.
