Explanation

These two quotes relate to each other because Frankenstein says that the fallen angel, who is Satan, gets joy from the evil and bad things that happen. And in the bible Satan convinces Eve that the apple will make them like God, bringing sin and evil to the word, making Satan happy. Shelley was trying to show that Frankenstein created the beast just like God created Adam. And the beast is saying that instead of being like Adam, that God loved, he is Satan, the one that God doesn't love. Satan is the one who is powered by evil. And God cannot love one that is evil and unholy, and Satan is just that. So instead of Frankenstein loving his creation, he doesn't love him like God does not love Satan.
