         <description><![CDATA[<div>The biodiversity in coral reefs is very large. You can find many plants and animals in a corral reef. Some examples of these are clams, crabs, sea stars, many different species of fish, and even some reef sharks! Each species in an organism is crucial to the chain that keeps the ecosystem operating. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Believe it or not, the main keystone species in a coral reef is actually the coral that grows in it! Coral provides many species with a home, and even something to eat! Without coral being present/if all the coral dies in the ecosystem then the whole ecosystem will fall apart. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The coral population is rapidly declining. Increasing oceanic temperatures are the main culprit to the declining coral population. Roughly 50% of the coral in our oceans is dead, and its mostly due to human error. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Parrot fish are one fish species that are affected by the decline in the coral population. Parrot fish eat a type of algae that grows on coral. Without this coral to grow on, the parrot fish would have no food to eat resulting in a bigger decline in the parrot fish population. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>One big way we can help the coral population make a comeback is just by reducing our carbon footprints. Some examples of how we can do that are by biking more or walking more instead of using a car, conserve water better, eat more plants, make sure to turn the lights off in your house when not using them, and many more ways. </div>]]></description>

         <title>Anticipated Timeframe that the Coral Population Will Come Back/How the Coral Population Will Come Back</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Scientists around the world are working on bringing back coral reefs. Along the Great Barrier Reef, there have been several signs of recovering from coral bleaching. For context, coral bleaching happens when coral gets stressed out, and it emits a type of photosynthetic algae, which is what inherently gives coral its color. If the coral remains stressed out, then it will die, leaving a lot of animals without food/homes. While there is no exact estimate on when the coral population is anticipated to come back, as more and more people get conscious of their carbon footprint, the more and more coral that will recover and come back. </div>]]></description>
