Activities will include designing and building garden woodwork and environmental projects using some recycled/upcycled materials.  We will explore the impact of being more environmentally aware and active and how it contributes to a more sustainable future, including climate change, global warming and their impact on farming, food production, renewable energy and how to recycle water in your home/garden.

You will have an opportunity to work as part of a team, experimenting with ideas, problem solving, communicating with others, improving your social skills, and your self-confidence.  You will use digital skills to research ideas, take photographs and upload them with comments to your group Padlet.

It was good to see how many of the group already had a good awareness of things they could do to help reduce greenhouse gasses which create this effect.

One idea that we have already explored is recycling; reducing plastic waste; and we will look more closely at alternative energy sources and hydroponics as part of this course. Well done to everyone taking part and for the very interesting discussion that followed.
