The book is a dystopian fantasy, which are two of my favorite genres. In 5th grade, I did a science project on a car's transmission and ever since, I have always wanted to learn to drive. When I finally got the chance, I jumped on the opportunity and it was definitely worth learning at a young age. My first drive ever was so surreal because I had been waiting for this moment for many years and it was finally happening. When my dad bought a car for himself, I finally felt free as I didn't need to rely on my parents to get where I wanted to anymore. Being able to drive has totally expanded my range and has let me do things that weren’t super easy to do before. After that, I drove home and cooked myself some lunch. I pretty much played video games the whole day since I didn’t have any homework to do. After that I ate some dinner and then went to sleep. I would think that my day last year would be mostly the same expect I would have actually had a bunch of homework to finish. Also since I’m mostly at school, my daily routine stays mostly the same. This year since I have a bit more free time, I occasionally hang out with friends more. For the past three years I had kept trying and failing at making any meaningful contributions to the team. But I decided to not give up and continue putting in the work to try and get the position I wanted. When it came time to apply for an officer position, I saw that there were people who were more qualified than me applying for the same position.
