I think that the development of mass production of photos is probably one of the most important aspects of photojournalism and without those advances in photo technology we would not have news as we do today. The second most important aspect of photojournalism in my opinion is the creation of printable photos so we can put images on news for the viewing of readers. The third in my opinion is the creation of photojournalism history is the creation of color in images because it allows for a much more in depth look into the details of an image.

He is surrendering because on April 19th, 1943 the eve of a jewish holiday called Passover, the Jews in Warsaw started their final act of armed resistance against the Germans and this picture shows them surrendering.
