Memorable Experience

Now known as the People's March, this event was a first, of this magnitude, for me. With over 500,000 participants, it was peaceful, engaging, and I had never experienced such a feeling of community before this. It inspired me to keep speaking out, acting on my beliefs that we can build a better society, and participating in more protests. Further, it spurred me to seek opportunities to work in, volunteer and engage with my local community. It was part of my decision to go back to school, so I could try to make a difference.
