Propaganda/Control:

The propaganda spread very quickly into the education system. Recall marcus arguing with his teacher one time about the constitution. GAIT, monitoring systems on Xnet, news propaganda, scare factor for the public, etc.

Technology Dependance:

Half the story revolves around the use of technology, especially how the DHS is using it to control.

The story was interesting the author just put to many things in the book that didn't really matter at all. A lot of the book is just talking about things that wouldn't change the story whatsoever.

It was meh. I think the author needs to be detained for writing a scene between two minors. Page 271 is my "proof." He also kept interrupting the story with tech explanations.

I would recommend this book to satan so he can invent new torture methods just for Cory Doctorow. In all seriousness, I have no interest in recommending this book to anyone, as I have no reason to do so. I did not like the book. But, for the sake of the answer, I would recommend it to Braeden Calkins bc IK he'd complain about it too.

Question 1: "How did you do it, how did you keep X-net safe from the DHS for this long?" - Obviously they want to know how teenagers technologically overpowered the Department of Homeland Security.

Question 2: "What are you connections to Barbara, the one who assisted you in publishing the article?" - They want to use barbara so they can get good publication too.

Question 3: "Do your parents know what's going on?" - They ask to see if marcus hid it from his parents.

I want Masha to kick Marcus's ass for what he did to her. I said it 500 times before and I'll say it another 150,000 times again. #JusticeForMasha. She was trying to help Marcus and she was objectively right about her plan of action. Marcus only succeeded by sheer luck. What if Val didn't deliver the evidence to Barbara? How does val even know how to contact Barbara? What if the evidence was said to be deep fakes, AI generated, edited, photoshopped, or not real at all? Yes, it's a story and I shouldn't expect it to be realistic, but at least be nicer to your innocent characters?
