As we pull together more research we can put the evidence into the thinglinks. I haven't had a chance to play with the piktochart tool yet, but I will tomorrow. Do you like it, Megan? Easy to use?

My first concern had possibly been capitalization of "library-" do we only do this when it's a proper noun or in reference to a specific library (i.e. Emma Clark Memorial Library?) Since Megan indicated that this was capitalized because she intended the words to look like a heading, I checked over her work and tried changing it to lower case. I agreed it does look better capitalized. We can go back and change later but I think Megan's original formatting works well.

The second concern had been whether, in step 6, whether we should have something about joint user/library staff tutorials or workshops on working together with the databases. As both my own boss back home, and Jill's interviewee, have mentioned in the past, often user/staff interfaces are incompatible, dissimilar, or have different capabilities. As a result, some staff can't even help users with their interfaces. This finding was affirmed in an article I found and cited on our Research Wiki page (Chan 2014). However, as Megan noted, we can include that information in sublinks later. I agree, and I think her general heading captures the main point of the argument (offer more training and assistance to users and staff on technologies), so I agreed it was best to leave it as is.

The third concern (unresolved as of now) is whether we should, in step 4, was to change the original subheading "Channel Your Library's Inner Google" to something about making catalogs or databases (or websites) simple and similar to other libraries'. I think the "Inner Google" term would require in-text citations in the Infographic, which would get messy, and I worry only very highly tech-trained librarians, current library students or those attending library school within five years, or information science researchers/scholars would know or understand that term. This seemed especially true given libraries where users were confused with technology are probably likely to have under-trained staff who cannot resolve the confusion. The phrase I wrote in- Make Websites Straightforward and Familiar (under "Simplify the User Process," which we all agree belongs in the heading), however, is less catchy than the original one. Perhaps we will change this sometime in the next day to capture the new information while retaining the appeal of the old phrase.

Finally, in step 5, I changed "students" to "users" because surprisingly faculty can get rather confused on database technology as well- any researcher will use library technologies and databases as well (in fact, they might use them more than the typical student).

Otherwise, I think our group project Infographic is great- it really brings together our research and class discussions this semester.
