I learnt how annoying and frustrating it can be at times. I also learnt you need a lot of patience as Filming and Editing takes time to finish.

Do: New skills I have applied were telling people what to do more confident. We would use different shots so we can decide what one we would actually want to use sometimes we would use all the shots cos they went well together. For example the ball scene rolling / falling down the stairs. 

Improve: We showed our video to multiple students and teachers today to get feedback on our video, when they watched our video they didn't have anything bad to say but I will give myself a personal Target by making sure I have all the equipment ready for next time and to make sure that we can produce the videos a lot quicker.

We have also have back up locations which is the car park opposite the college.

Do: No new skills were applied / learnt to take pictures. We completed the task by using our phones / Ipads to take pictures of the locations we are going to use.  I guess that we are all proud of taking pictures of locations and agreeing to use them. we can use this for prove that we are filming in that specific location.

Improve: We need to improve the speed for filming so we can get to the other scenes quicker.

Know: I have been doing my Pre-production work and creating a storyboard so we know what scene we are officially doing. We recorded some meetings as well for prove that we had done this. We all came up with ideas to use and how to add them to the music video in order. I already knew how to produce a storyboard so that came in handy for a while. We didn't really do anything this week because we went back to college mid week.

Do: I did not learn any new skills while doing this. As I already knew how to make a storyboard and cooperate.

improve: We need to add more detail to our storyboards so everyone can understand what the scenes are.

On Thursday we had to edit the clips to make it sync with the actors talking so it looks as if we are talking. I learnt how to edit a clip a little bit more as I did not know how to edit before. I learnt the basics of editing. I also had started the Project Proposal sheet I still need to add more information to meet the minimum requirements. I am doing well in my groups we all have been listening to each others Ideas we have been voice recording our meetings. We have come up with a few brilliant ideas to use. We still need to plan out the location as we have no idea where we are going to film. We are filming at Day / Night.

Do: New skills I used was my editing skills. I used this skill to edit clips and make them sync up to the actual movie scene. I completed this task by using Adobe Premiere Pro.Their was a few barriers at first as I did not know how to edit properly but I go the hang of it in the end. I managed to edit a clip which I am proud off.

Improve: I need to make the clip a lot longer as it is only 6 seconds short apart from that I think I have done a brilliant job. Plan out with my group the location where we are going to film, more ideas so we have a lot to pick from, The editing techniques, Camera Angles.

Wednesday was a waste of time as we were talking about stuff we already knew then we began to have a class discussion about behaviour. On Thursday was the most productive day throughout the week as our group were discussing scenes / Ideas for our video's. We also done a quarter of a storyboard discussing what scene would fit in to the shots.

Do: I have started to remember to record a voice note for evidence that we have had a meeting.


Improve: To improve we need to have a group meeting so we can tell Alex what ideas we thought of yesterday and what shots they will be going in.

I learnt more about the Job Roles that I did not know before (Director, Producer, Editor, Camera Operator) I have already completed my presentation on why I should be the producer. But I am not presenting it yet until everyone in my group has completed it. This will be easier as we would not have to keep going back to look at each others. 2 people from our group has not been in all week so we haven't been able to have proper meetings so they would have to catch up with the work we have already done and do it in their spare time.

Do: I have learnt some of the differences between Producer and Director. I know more about the different Job roles. I completed the task by communicating to the people I work with so I know what Job role I want to do. The barrier for this week was the fact that 2 people was not in so we had to choose the Job roles what 3 of us wanted and try to contact 1 person to see what Job role they wanted. 

Improve: I have to voice record my self presenting my piece of work "Why I want the Producer role" But I am going to wait until my whole group has done the presentation.

It also made me be more co-operative, discuss more. I'll prefer working people I know more as it will make me and that person more confident with our tasks and with the rest of the group. I also made mind maps to identify aspects of a music video for example: Costume, Location / set, Styles, Audience, Shot types ETC. This helped out as I will now have a understanding and be able to co operate with my group more when we go out to start creating our music videos as we will know more. 

Do: I learnt how to work in teams with my new class instead of working solo. This helped out as I will now be able to work with anyone and get used to the people I am with and hopefully have no issues. I also learnt how to identify: Costume, Shot types, editing techniques etc... This will come useful when I create my music video as I will know what aspect will go with another aspect to make the video more successful. 

Improve: I am going to add more description to my mind maps clearly showing what I am talking about and why I had chose that shot / scene. Next week I am going to focus on my role in the group and how I can make our video successful. And pick the right people to work with if we are picking our groups. I will also focus on finishing my work before the deadline like I have been doing recently.

Also the task where we had to find music related to our pictures this helped out as it shows that I can understand the aspects of a music video and use them to relate to something. 

Do: When I finished my task 3 my video links were messed up which caused me to re do my work this barrier kind of helped me a little bit more as I had to go through the songs again. I changed a few songs as I felt more confident with the new  songs I picked rather than my previous / old songs. The glitch through Padlet made me a little bit proud as I found better music videos to use.

Improve: I'm not to sure what I need to improve on as Karl has already checked my work and has not given any feedback yet. So as far as I know I have completed task 3 and I need no improvements. The skills I have used is how to identify different aspects in a music video and how to relate it to my pictures. This skill should be useful for upcoming lessons as I feel like I would be using it a lot more.

The only aspect I knew before we done this task was the cut to the beat, I didn't know the rest before I got taught about them.

Do - The new skills I have learnt this week Is that I have learnt how to identify different aspects of a music video and describe them. (Cut to the beat, Multi-Image, Animation, Camera movement, Lip sync).

Improve - The skills I used for this task was the aspects of the music videos, Identifying which is which. I need to improve with the 1 parody and 1 commercial task as I need to add more information on one of the tasks.

I didn't know how to use contact sheets until I got taught.

Do- To be honest I didn't apply any new skills as I used Photoshop for all my work. And I use photoshop at home in my spare time.

Improve - I don't need to improve anything as Karl has already checked over my work and he said that everything is correct.
