         <description><![CDATA[<div>I can describe intelligence.<br>One's knowledge from experience and their ability to apply that knowledge. <br><br><strong>Intelligence: </strong>The ability to learn from experience, solve problems, and use knowledge to adapt. <br><br>Socially and culturally constructed; smart=success<br><br><strong>IMPORTANT PEOPLE:</strong><br>1. <strong>Alfred Binet</strong>-created the first practical intelligence test in France, Binet-Simon scale <br>-goal was to identify students who needed special attendance in an academic setting<br>2. <strong>Lewis Terman</strong>- published the first American intelligence test<br>-and educational psychologist, promoted the use of the intelligence test, president of the American Psych Association (APA)<br>-studied children with high IQ<br>3. <strong>William Stern</strong>-coined the term IQ, intelligence quotient<br>4. <strong>LL Thurstone-</strong>created standard deviation around the 7 primary mental abilities,&nbsp;<br>developed the mean and standard deviation for the IQ score-able to quantify and measure what IQ is&nbsp;<br><br><br><br><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>8 multiple intelligence: g<br><strong>Logical:<br>Linguistic:<br>Bodily Kinesthetic:</strong><br><strong>Spatial:</strong> the ability to visualize, remember images and details and an awareness of your surroundings<br><strong>Musical:</strong> good ear for music, can tell when note is off key<br><strong>Interpersonal:</strong> the ability to understand and interact effectively with others, good communication<br><strong>Naturalistic:</strong> can observe understand and interpret patterns in natural environments<br><strong>Intrapersonal:</strong> ability to understand one's inner world'<br><br><br>Standardization: test is given to "sample" group first<br>- defines meaningful scores<br>- by a bell shaped pattern, all things measured will fall on a normal curve<br><br>How to find IQ:<br>Mental Age/Chronological Age X 100<br><br>Normal- 100&nbsp;<br>110-119: bright normal<br>120-129 : superior<br>130 very superior<br>150 and above: truly gifted<br><br>to understand how low and high Iq scores affect an individuals ability to funtion in society and appy this knowledge to the esapbe of the autistic sabant<br><br>Low extreme: IQ score below 70<br>mild: 50-69<br>Moderate: 35-49<br>Severe: 20-34<br>Profound: under 20<br><br>Intellectual Disability: 1% of population, 2x more males</div>]]></description>
