YouTube is the best in my opinion because it is free to both watch videos and upload videos. In addition to this, many artists will cover each other's songs so anyone is able to listen to different versions of their favorite songs.

On the other hand, if an artist is covering another artist's song, they need to make sure they give the correct credit, if this doesn't happen that video could get taken down.

Apple music is worth the subscription fee if all of the songs you want are on it. Most subscriptions aren't worth paying for as sometimes a service wont have the song/ artist someone may want to listen to. In comparison to youtube, on apple music, i is hard to find covers and alternative versions of songs on it.

Apple music is good because its cheap and it have 24 hour radio which nobody else has yet.

can save albums to listen without internet with premium

pros-
can listen on the go, can listen without internet if you pay. any new bands can publish their own music onto the apps, creates an audience. songs/albums wont be damaged since they aren't physical. 

cons-
can use up all of your memory on your device, makes you ignorant and anti-social. makes it easy to pirate music. bands are losing money as it's going through the media, aren't receiving much money from the stream listeners.

taylor swift said “It’s my opinion that music should not be free, and my prediction is that individual artists and their labels will someday decide what an album’s price point is,” Swift wrote. “I hope they don’t underestimate themselves or undervalue their art.”

Drake and Rihanna have benefited from streaming as they were the most streamed in 2016

I think that YouTube is probably the best service to stream on as its free, and you can pick and choose which songs you play when, whereas on other free services like spotify, you have to shuffle play.

A con of YouTube however is that to avoid charging users, there is frequent ads, and also a lot of content that isn't necessarily legal.

We both prefer Spotify to the others because of student discounts and other offers. Also there is a wide range of genres to listen to and there are many less known artists on there as well. Another thing I like about it is that it looks at the music you like and have listened to etc. and gives you suggestions of what it thinks you would like. I would not pay for any streaming service as i prefer to purchase music on CD or Vinyl.

Pros, as an artist soundcloud allows you to upload your material to your page free of charge, this means that it is easier to put your music out for people to listen.
Cons, there is no editing tools in the record section so you would have to record it on another system then transfer the data into soundcloud.

Personally, I think Spotify is the best for accessing music as for a small cost of £9.99 a month. There are also deals if you are a student for £5 a month.

Tidal claims to be paying the vast majority of its revenue — and five times the amount per play as Spotify — back to artists and labels in the form of royalties. That sounds generous and progressive, until you realize that larger music services don’t pay more because they can’t afford to.

The reality of the low-margin streaming music business is: more plays = more money, regardless of where those plays come from. Tidal can’t change that. The service may pay higher rates per stream than competitors, but its competition has exponentially more users, forcing most artists to embrace other services like Apple Music and Spotify,

Spotify is the best in my opinion as you can listen to high quality music and also choose from genres of music.

Prescription allows you to listen anywhere, however without, you cannot listen unless in your own WI-fI vicinity.

For an artist, it is useful as every listen will get them money as there is not unofficial channels that are uploading their music without going through copyright laws. 

For a song that you are listening to to be recorded as a listen/view, you have to of listened to it for 30 seconds.

Spotify is the best streaming service. i think this because it is easy to access music and is cheap to buy. 

pros- its easy to access music and it is cheap to have a subscription. 

cons- the artists dont get all the money as it spreads out to a wider group of people who work for spotify leaving artists with less money.

rihanna and drake were the most streamed artists in 2016. 

people can get their music on Youtube by uploading a video. however, with YouTube you have to be careful with copyright as this can cause problems for the artists.
it is better on youtube to watch channels on VIVO so the artists get paid.
