         <title>Testing for regrouping</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Can we all plan to test later on this week, like Friday, to bring that data on Wednesday to look at regrouping? Can we hold off on regrouping any kids until Wednesday, letting them have more time in their groups that they are currently in getting practice on those skills.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Is there a way that we can let people know when someone is not going to be able to be there for their WIN group or for them to have something for their group to work on. I have seen others absorb multiple students into their groups and it gets a little out of hand. </div>]]></description>

         <title>So how is that going to work on Friday if some groups want to test their groups of students but other teachers want to use that time to test their class as a whole? You will have teachers with their classes and not with the WIN groups or is that meaning if you want to test your own class you have to do so at a different time?</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Next week Wednesday, WIN needs to be a major discussion.&nbsp;<br>- The building needs to be on the same page. If we are going to consider ourselves a PLC school, we need to be cohesive with our instruction, communication, and testing/retesting. Enrichment/choice boards need to be revisited. Some are worried that it is simply a babysitting session with hardly any academic merit.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Teachers are frustrated with WIN. Some are sticking with fidelity and doing the scripted lessons within the book and seeing students go down in their groups and lose interest. Others have abandoned the book and adding in games and other activities with their groups to keep engaged throughout this time. It is a struggle to continue on with the same groups in the same letter patterns for a longer period of time when now we are seeing a downward trend.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>A big concern is that what we are doing with the lessons from the book is helping students become better spellers. Over the past few years it has been stressed that once a student reaches the white level in American Reading Company that the emphasis is put on the comprehension part of reading and not that students know how to spell words correctly.</div>]]></description>
