  1. I have what it takes to be a founder
  2. I have an incredibly supportive network - my family, current boss & colleagues, my public health communications peers. Their encouragement is incredibly important to me.
  3. I put a lot of pressure on myself to deliver for my peers and the people who I feel are looking to follow through with what I’ve set out to do. I’m trying to ground myself in the knowledge that the journey is also powerful - that regardless of outcomes I’m hopefully planting seeds and creating ripple effects that will make a difference. 



5 things you learned about your fellowship topic since February (especially what surprised you):

  1. Public health isn’t putting their money where their mouth is when it comes to investing in health communications.
  2. What I’m trying to build isn't that complicated or expensive (in the grand scheme of things). This is both validating and infuriating (why don’t we have it yet? Why haven’t I gotten funding?)
  3. I have learned SO MUCH about startups and product development. I’ve really enjoyed what has basically been an accelerated MBA/ engineerings degree program.
