         <description><![CDATA[<div>To me, this sounds like stopping classtime in order to instill a "life lesson" in students.  I know that as teachers we tend to assume responsibility for the development of adult/social skills but to put that first means leaving our subject matter second.  I don't agree with this--I believe that subject matter should take priority over other skills that we want them to have.  </div>]]></description>

         <title>Some (most) of our students do not receive any positive reinforcement, encouragement, or positive feedback at home. School may be the only place they get that. With encouragement, hopefully their confidence will build, and with that they are more likely to try harder and make better decisions in school or outside of school. PBIS will hopefully make a positive impact on our students. </title>
