The Aztecs were apart of being the best architectural constructions of the ancient world. Causeways and aqueducts were built so that they could carry water from some springs on the shore out to the island city. They also built some irrigation canals that crossed ravines, and bridges. They didn't use things like the Romans or Incas. They had no connection to the Romans or Incas because they came before the Aztecs. The Romans were master builders.(even more advanced then the Aztecs)

The Aztecs lived in an age that had done very well without metals. They also got impressive results from the simplest of technologies. To them obsidian was called the steel of the New World. The Aztecs used obsidian, wood, andesite, and flint to make blades. Copper axes, just like cocoa beans, cotton capes, were valued like currency to the Aztecs They used the blades to cut and puncture things, such as earplugs, and obsidian blades. They also perfected the technique of the prismatic blade production which gave them knives, scrapers, and weapon points, which had the sharpest blade known to modern science.

The Aztec Tenochtitlan was to use floating garden, by solving this issue they built canals. It was done by carefully stalking out plots on the lake surface, then using canoes topped with dirt and sand. The Aztec didn't also have enough fresh water so they build canals. Aztecs were excellent builders and engineers and the city of Tenochtitlan was a stunning example of this.
