I think every family has some kind of crazy.  I am the oldest. I have a nineteen year old brother, an eleven year old brother, and a little sister who just turned seven. I forgot to mention that I am currently twenty three. I know a very far range in ages, but I would not change it for the world. My brother Michael who is the oldest is away at college and I miss him so much I face time him pretty much every day. He probably gets annoyed with me, but at least he knows that his big sister loves him very much!

I did that for five year. Then I decided it would be a good idea to transfer to the medical field because my dream is to become a nurse. So ever since I have worked at two nursing homes. I just recently quit my job at Kemper House to become a full time care giver to my grandfather who has Dementia. We do a lot of fun things together. I have also learned to not talk about nurse related things while eating at the dinner table because I think it is perfectly normal and people are ready to become sick! Cracks me up every time. Anyways, ever since I was little I have been fascinated with science, and nursing books. I would go to the library and find the medical section and just sit down and look at pictures. My mom always tells the story of me asking for a microscope to look at my scabs under the lens...... YES I KNOW, I TOLD YOU I WAS WEIRD! I have always just had a fascination. When my dreams started to become reality is seeing all of my family members passing away from multiple diseases and cancers. The one that really hit me bad was my grandma passing away from ALS. I knew then at that point I had it in my heart to take care of people. Even if I can not cure their horrible situations, I want to know that I have left a person feeling a little better than they did before they saw or met me. Even if it means rubbing their feet, heating up a bowl of soup, or even just communication and smiling with them. That is what I believe nursing is about is passion and having the power in your heart to do for others, and feeling the warm sensation of satisfaction melt your heart.
