         <description><![CDATA[<div>Use the <a href="https://www.google.com/forms/about/">Google Forms</a> app to create an opinions survey about things students would like to see change about class/school (e.g. Should we have vending machines in the cafeteria?, &nbsp; How often should be given homework? etc.).&nbsp; Be sure to add follow up questions to learn more specifics (e.g.&nbsp; Make a list of what types of things should be in the vending machines., Narrow down how many days certain subjects should have homework, etc.). Send it to at least 20 of your classmates. When you have received survey results back, analyze the data and write a 1-paragraph summary of the conclusion that you came to, based on your results. &nbsp;<br><br>Be prepared to share your survey results and your paragraph with your teacher and/or the class.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Host a recorded <a href="https://zoom.us/">Zoom</a> Meeting, inviting 2 teachers and/or classmates to participate in.&nbsp; During the Zoom meeting, you will moderate a 4 to 5-minute debate about an argumentative topic of your choice (teacher approval needed).&nbsp; Give the participants 3-5 days notice ahead of time to prepare for the debate, because each participant will need to take either the Pro or Con side of the argument.&nbsp; You must be aware of the different claims, reasoning, and evidence associated with the argument.&nbsp; You will follow this breakdown of the debate:<br>Minute 1:&nbsp; Introduce yourself, participants, debate topic, and&nbsp; who will present first.<br>Minute 2:&nbsp; Presenter #1 and his/her claim + evidence/reasoning<br>Minute 3:&nbsp; Presenter #2 and his/her claim + evidence/reasoning<br>Minute 4:&nbsp; Allow 30 seconds to each participant to refute/rebut.<br>Minute 5:&nbsp; Choose a winner of the debate,&nbsp; based on logic explain why you chose that winner, and thank everyone for their time.<br><br>Be prepared to share your recored Zoom session with your teacher and/or the class.</div>]]></description>
