She has fallen in love

Explanation: This poem relates to beneatha because it states perfectly everything that describes beneatha that i think was a very good poem for her. The reason is because it states that she doesn't need a man for anything and that she knows that the only thing she needs to do is achieve her goals to become a doctor. Every time a boy breaks up with her she doesn't really care what was the reason or what happened as to why he made the decision, theirs always fish in the sea for her to catch. Also no boy has ever controlled Beneatha to the point where she had to change her whole entire appearance. The only person who she let only one thing change was Asagai, and that's was only her hair. BENEATHA:  I know – because that’s what it says in all the novels that men write. But it isn’t. Go ahead and laugh – but I’m not interested in being someone’s little episode in America or – (With feminine vengeance) – one of them! 

Explanation: The reason why i chose this theme and quote was because beneatha is very feminine in what people say about her skin color and her race. She also doesn't like when people take her family for granted when they were asked to not move into a white neighborhood because it would ruin their living habitat.
