Good idea, see what has already been done on this, in Finland and abroad. What is your customer group, try to narrow it slightly. And your market - Finland? What would this service have exactly and to whom would you offer it? What do you need resource wise - would a professional be available at the nursing unit 24/7? Is this idea rather expensive to carry out? This could be turned into a profitable business definitely, how? How do you test this idea during this course, are the customers you can approach? What about health care businesses?

Comments by Armi: Good idea, with clear customer group/s. Continue by checking what is already in the market - are these your competitors or could you partner up with bike provider / rental company? If the key activity is bike rental, how will you go on about it? How do you market your service? How would you test this idea during the next coming weeks, by approaching students to see what is needed or the bike rental companies? Also, rather than offering bike rental as such, you could also think how you market the existing bike rental companies and make them more accessible for exchange students / tourists? Often the trickiest thing about moving to another country is not being sure about the services offered, not finding the correct information on-line, not being able to approach the correct people etc. Finally, most hotels in Jyväskylä tend to offer free bikes for guests so the student goup idea might be more worth to focus on. You could also think could the university do something about this...?

Great idea with clear customer profile. Healthy food is a convenient choice offering societal imputs so there is need and justification for the idea. Would this restaurant be located in Jyväskylä? If you wish to develop this for the higher education student market / young adults / adults, see what is their liking and how much would they be ready to pay for the food. How would you market this opportunity? Any trics on marketing ie. student discount (loyalty scheme).

Comments by Armi: This is a current problem at Dynamo for everyone and something that needs a solution. However, everyone driving to Dynamo is in the same situation: students, staff members and guests of JAMK. Since you have a clear customer group, the students, you could next need to see what options you have in testing this idea. The rewarding system for car owners to use public transport or bikes is a great idea due to the limited parking space that challenges everyone. It also supports our field of study and has a clear justification. Would the rewarding system concern students only? Can you find out examples i.e. from abroad that utilise this rewarding system, take a look at what has been done in the Netherlands. How are you going to test this idea during this course? Transforming JAMK lecture schedules in a more suitable way.

Comments by Armi: This is an idea that may be useful for you and your student colleagues. Try to define this topic slightly. Do you wish to transform all schedules or just some? Think about the fact that Dynamo as a campus has too little lecture rooms which may cause the fact that lectures may be slightly long and / or carried out in the evening time. This cannot be solved easily. If you wish to approach to offer ideas to change the structure of certain modules, you may wish to approach other students, staff members, and also the personnel who make the actual bookings for the lecturers to understand the system. Also, you would need to think how to turn your idea into a business so how could this be done if you were about to start a company and make your living out of designing schedules?

What would your main customers be? Have you checked what has been done on this idea before? Any competitors? If the idea exists already, could you re-develop it or take a new approach? How would you test this idea during the course - with a certain customer group or rather with the suppliers?Think how you know for sure this works - market research?  If you were to turn this into a business, how would you do it? Is this actually an on-line application or something that would be available at the grocery stores? If you would cooperate with a certain chain i.e. S or K chains in Finland, could this idea reach wider audience that way?

Good idea but since the pharmaceutial industry is rather competitive I am thinking how this could work in practice? What would your main customers be? Would this idea work in Finland? What does rental of medical equipment mean? If this would be a real business, how would you develop it? It is a great idea to offer cheaper product with standard quality, so that would be your strategy but what about your competitors? Are you able to test this opportunity during the coming weeks? It might be a good idea to see what is already in the market and narrow your idea to certain services/s (i.e. sports based or study based). The awarding system is a good idea, however, is it motivating or worth for the customer to receive penalties also? Could this be considered in a different manner? If this would be a real business, how would you turn it profitable?
