Such as, Utter radio events allowing students to get to know one another, along with the Fresher Fair held on Peel Park Campus. However, when talking to third year student Coral, she admitted to finding it hard keeping commitments and meeting new people due to having a full time job during her first year. Speedfriending, based on the system 'speed-dating', will enable those who attend to make new friendships with and learn about students in a similar situation to themselves. Given the pressure surrounding adapting to university life, with a new found independence and responsibility, maintaining a healthy social life is integral. We believe that Speedfriending will be beneficial to all concerned, providing a platform to create friendships and bonds that will last throughout university and into later years. 

With our Speedfriending night, the only resources required are a spacious room containing multiple tables and chairs - preferably in a bar or restaurant environment.
