This caused them to lose motivation to find work forcing them down the depression rabbit hole. Eventually they all figure it out but sometimes they never do come out of that hole. I would say that it affected me by not wanting to indulge in those things at least not as often as they did. I did not really know him when I was younger. He had a drug problem which counteracted with his depression. He has been in the hospital several times and he is now on medication and sober. It makes the family sad because you want to help, but can’t.
