Solar eclipses are nothing new. Since there’s been planets, stars, and orbiting satellites – like our moon – there’s been eclipses, occultations, and transits. These are merely parts of the machinations from the magnificent device that is the cosmos. Though relatively common, occurring about every 18 months or so, humans are still largely dumbfounded by the strangely affecting power that an eclipse has. Like dogs during thunderstorms, we run around during an eclipse with a mix of excitement.
