Welcome on board!           
My name is Hazar Shehadeh, and it is my pleasure to be your instructor in this class.

I have a BA in English literature and English as a second language, MA in English with a minor in film criticism, and PhD in linguistics. 
I have taught different face-to-face, hybrid, & online classes ranging from writing skills, composition, rhetoric, film criticism, to literature. 
 
  

I had reviewed and developed curricula and worked in different research studies to accelerate under-prepared and at-risk students’ learning at the college level.  I have been working on different research studies about the teaching strategies and using technology in the classroom to enhance minority group students' performance.  


I have published a few articles in peer-reviewed scholarly journals, such as The International Journal of the Humanities, The International Journal of Learning in Higher Education, and The International Journal of Technologies in Learning.  I have also participated in different conferences in Spain, Canada, and Greece. 


I live with my husband and our 2 kids and dog in Houston.  I enjoy working out, running, and cooking. I like to read recent educational research and enjoy scholarly, scientific writing. I also like to travel to different places with my family!

I’m originally from NC, but I moved to MI after I graduate high school in 2014. I moved to MI, to go to school. I did take a break from school, but now I’m starting back. I’m majoring in occupational therapy assistant. I’m currently living in Lansing, MI. I own two dogs (they both live with my grandparents), a bearded dragon, and a cat (she lives with my mom/dad in NC). I work part/full time as a caregiver; I’m a natural at it. I love to help people, no matter what, my grandparents say I'm very great at it.

This semester is my second semester in college, I took 2 years off after high school to work on my mental health. I am really glad to be back in school learning new things and meeting new people. I am majoring in nursing to hope to become a neonatal nurse in the future. I currently do not work so that I can take and focus on as many classes as I can. I am able to do this because I have a great support team which is my family. They help me out a lot when I have anxiety, which I am very thankful for.

I am originally from Philippines. I moved here in MI 5 years ago and ended up liking it here so I decided to stay. I transferred to Baker from Oakland so that I can pursue my career into medical laboratory technology. I am currently a certified nurse aid. I worked in a senior home care and switched to working in a hospital setting to gain more nursing experience. I loved nursing but I fell more in love with lab related work. My end goal is to go into research labs to find cure for  certain diseases such as cancer.

Hello, 


My name is Hannah and I am completing my associates degree in business administration. I currently live in Durand, MI and I'm in a eastern time zone. I am looking to move out of state within the next year or so. I have been attending Baker College since I have been in High School in Corunna, which means I have been doing dual enrollment. I currently only have 3 classes left to finish this summer. Once I have those complete I will be sending my resume to people out of state. I currently work at Mallard Pond as a Leasing Consultant. This is related to business administration as I do filing, answering phone calls, emailing, tours, leasing, banking. etc. I have also done an internship for property manager at Mallard Pond. I love going on walks with my dog and relaxing in the sun when I am not working. I just got home from a cruise and went to Mexico.  I have attached a photo of my baby. We have been through a lot together and we are onto the next chapter.
