For educators looking to know more on collaboration, here are some helpful tips
1. Clarity of Purpose: both parties have to understand the purpose of the plan that needs to be set in place for the child, this will offer a successful collaboration
2. Individual Commitment: The educators job is to develop trust overtime, and that can be implemented by doing whatever is necessary to benefit the child.
3. Time: Teachers need to be able to put in the time to see the "good idea" work out successfully. It has to be a priority.
4. Understanding How to Collaborate and Communicate: Educators need to dig deeper into their students situation, so that a proper and effective plan can be set in place.
5. Supportive Administrators: With the administrators backing up the educators, successful achievements are in reach. Teachers have to do their part of making sure the material is understood and the principal has to enforce what they do.
6. Freedom to explore: Collaboration doesn't have to be just teachers to teachers, or teachers to parents, or even administrators to teachers. There are many resources that can be used for collaboration.

Welborn, B. (2012). Six Keys to Successful Collaboration. [online] Teacher Teacher.
