For the camera to become shutter priority you have to change the camera setting to the correct ISO and spin the top of the camera button to the letter A, not to automatic . 
2. When the shutter speed is changed to a higher number ( spinning to the left) it become more clear. When the shutter speed number is lower ( spinning to the right) the picture is blurrier. 
3. You would want to change your photo to the shutter speed priority because you have more control of your photos and your camera when taking the photos.
