Robin Hood

The character Robin Hood is an anti-hero character. He fits this criteria because hes an outlaw who would rob the rich and give to the poor, while fighting against corruption and injustice. His tragic flaw would be his defiance of law and authority because it becomes harder to be able to help the more he is being searched for. His "Abyss" is his own death, where he is betrayed by a princess. "Burry me where my arrow falls..."

Batman

The character Batman is a loner hero, although he has a sidekick robin. He doesn't want a sidekick and often goes off alone, making him fit the criteria. We can say that his tragic flaw is his obsession with avenging his parents. He hasn't overcome it but he uses it to his advantage. Batman's "abyss" is his parents death. “You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain.”

Shaggy

The character Shaggy is a group oriented hero because he works with 4 other members: Daphne, Velma, Fred and Scooby. Shaggy's tragic flaw in the series is his cowardice when faced with monsters. He attempts to work on it through the series but he never truly overcomes it. In one episode, Shaggy is turned into a monster and it effects him for the rest of the series, this can count as his "abyss". "You know what they say, when the going gets scary, the scared gets scarce!"
